Wow! I can’t believe how long it’s been! I’ve missed you all, my 4 devoted readers! Basically when my very favorite message board blew up I just could not post for fear that the verbal diarrhea would begin and I wouldn’t know how to make it stop. Not that too much has been happening. Well, everything and nothing, you know how that goes. Mags has continued to beef herself up. We went to her 8 week appt. two days ago, when she was 9 weeks. She is 24 inches tall, 12 pounds 10 ounces, with a 14 inch head. She had three shots and was quite upset about it. Of course I cried. She was crying so hard that her face was burgandy and she wasn’t doing normal things like remembering to breathe, and wow did I feel like shit. They just look at you in such an accusatory way…like “YOU, hey you! You were supposed to be *protecting* me, WTF was that?”

On the super good news front, completely forgetting that Thaddeus is still nursed, Dr. Brian J. Knabe praised me in a lengthy way for nursing exlusively and also gave me updated recommendations such as nursing exclusively for 6 whole months and, wait, holy gee wow, nursing for at least a year and better to go beyond. He asked how long I nursed Thaddeus then and when I said I was still nursing (which since he prescribed us ALL meds for thrush, you’d think he knew but oh well, he’s only human) he said “Well that’s great! Even at 2.5 he’ll continue to see benefits from nursing…” He kind of went on and on and I well, I love to hear that I’m doing a good thing because lets face it, people don’t really praise you for nursing your toddler, you either do it or you don’t, or someone tells you that you’re going to create some mad boob fetish man. Mostly I was just so warmed by the thought that he’s giving the updated recommendations to new moms and moms who may not seek out the recs. It’s just freaking fabulous!

Anyhoo, here are some pics that I like of her (well I like them *all* but I thought everyone would have to admit these are cute) LOL.

We celebrated Var’s 13th birthday on the 12th. He got a bunch of cool clothes for his birthday including some mens screen print t-shirts that he’s very lucky I don’t fit into.

Thaddeus blew out the candles before Toddo could even set the cake down LOL. We give Var cake on his birthday, it’s an ice cream cake so the whipped cream on top and the ice cream both melt in his mouth and in small amounts (as in a couple times a year) don’t cause too much of a problem for him.

Toddo continues to work on the studio, it will be a post of it’s own.
